On Tuesday, Birch Class took part in the South Cambs School Sports Partnership’s Year 4 Mini Olympics held at the Cambridge University Sports ground. Schools were asked to represent a sporting nation. Meridian was given Ireland. More than 1600 children from 46 primary schools across the area took part.

  • Captain Noah and the Floating Zoo

    Thu 13 Jun 2019

Yesterday we were treated to a wonderful evening of music by our KS2 choir who performed with the adult choir ‘Village Voices’. Both choirs sang two songs from their own repertoire and this was followed by an ambitious performance of Captain Noah and the Floating Zoo. The children rose to the challenge magnificently!

Thank you for your generous donations towards our music curriculum and resources. Thank you to Miss Sands and Mrs Walthew (Village Voices Director) for organising such a community event.

  • Our sports day was a huge success!

    Fri 07 Jun 2019

A special thanks to Mrs Shepperson and Miss Sands who led and organised the activities this year along with the ideas from the ‘sports organising committee’ (SOC) made up of KS2 children. There were some new events which added to the excitement of the day. Thank you to the PTA, who laid on the refreshments and to Julia, our sports partnership liaison who brought along some Y10 students from Comberton Village College to support our events. And what glorious sunshine!
