We had two events that helped raise money for our link school in The Gambia. On Friday we held 'festival of colour' day - to reflect the African Continent. It was a non uniform event - and we all came in with a splash of colour. Our Y6 raised enough funds through their enterprising day in July and split the funds between the our school habitat garden project and our link schools in The Gambia. A total of £356 was raised this year. This money support two children's school fees and the provide resources for the school. Thank you very much!
We have supported the school fees every year for Pa and Oumie at one of our link schools in The Gambia, and since they started at 5 years. Now they are about to enter the world of work and with great ambition for the future.
We look forward to learning about two new children we will support.
On Wednesday 8th September Year 3 and 4 had a fun Team Building day. They took part in a variety of activities: finding a safe route through a maze, being detectives solving a crime, listening carefully to their partner’s instructions to return coloured bean bags to the correct hoop whilst being blindfolded and saving a duck!! It was a great morning which helped the Year 3 and 4 children to get to know each other and develop their team work skills. Well done Year 3 and 4.
