Welcome to The Canopy

We are delighted to welcome families to The Canopy, Meridian Primary School's wraparound care provision.

The name The Canopy was chosen by our pupils, who wanted something that reflected both our tree-themed classes and the caring, nurturing environment they would like the provision to provide.

Managed by the school, The Canopy offers a safe, welcoming and relaxed environment where children can enjoy a positive start and end to their school day. Children attending Breakfast Club will be provided with a healthy breakfast, while those attending After School Club will receive a nutritious snack. Alongside opportunities to socialise with friends, children will be able to take part in a range of enjoyable activities in a dedicated calm space.

Although The Canopy provides a more relaxed atmosphere than the classroom, it continues to operate in line with all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, behaviour, first aid, medical needs and health and safety, giving families confidence that the same high standards of care are maintained throughout the school day.

Bookings and Payments

All enquiries regarding The Canopy should be directed to the school office during school hours and directly to The Canopy during wrap around hours.

All bookings should be made by Thursday evening at the latest, for the following week. 

There are two options for making payments:

A – If parents don’t have a Tax Free childcare account or use childcare vouchers, booking and payment for Breakfast Club and After School Club must be made through the My Child At School (MCAS) app.

B -  If parents will pay using their Tax Free childcare account or vouchers, parents must ensure that sufficient funds are transferred to the school bank account (see below instructions) before making the booking on MCAS app.
