The internet is an amazing resource. It can help you to keep in touch with your friends and help your education, however, if you use it inappropriately –it can also cause harm – to you and to others. Always to be careful when you are using the internet.

Remember help is always available at school if you are having any problems online. Don’t be afraid to talk to your teacher or another adult at school.

How do we stay safe online?

  • Use kind words and be nice.
  • Be careful about which websites you trust.
  • Say ‘No’ to bullying / Cyberbullying.
  • Take care when uploading and downloading data from the web.
  • Avoid getting personal.
  • Keep passwords private.
  • Don’t give away personal information.
  • Use SPAM filters.
  • Meeting up with a Web Pal can be dangerous.
  • Respect other people online.
