On Tuesday, Birch Class took part in the South Cambs School Sports Partnership’s Year 4 Mini Olympics held at the Cambridge University Sports ground. Schools were asked to represent a sporting nation. Meridian was given Ireland. More than 1600 children from 46 primary schools across the area took part. The children were asked to challenge themselves to achieve their best whilst thinking about the Olympic values of determination, respect, self-belief and team work. The Meridian children displayed lots of sporting talent and Olympic spirit throughout the day. Well done Year 4. |
